This is a blog about my urban gardening adventures in Ottawa, Ontario. We live in the neighborhood of Little Italy, and are lucky enough to have a small backyard with enough sun to grow flowers and vegetables. When Brian and I bought our house in summer 2009, our yard was completely overgrown and neglected. Its now in much better shape, but still a work in progress. We share our yard with Mika (a siberian husky), a number of neighborhood cats who are always wandering through, and several squirrels. So not only will this blog share the successes of our gardening efforts, but I’m sure that it will also feature discussions of the numerous challenges we encounter. Hope you enjoy reading!
